DR. JOHN ATUNGA MANDERE

It with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing on of Dr. John Atunga Mandere on 11th November 2021 after a short Illness. He hailed from Makalro Village, lbucha sub-location, West Mugirango, Nyamlra County.

He was the son of late Kasimiri Mandere and the late Selina Moraa. Step son to the late Mama Kerubo and Julia Mandere. Husband to Rebecca Nyaboke. Father to the late Wilfred Ontita, Kenneth Kemosi (Doha, Qatar), Gerald Mong’are (Los Angeles, California, USA), Eric Matoke (formerly of Engen Kenya Limited) and Polycarp Nyatigo (KMFRI Mombasa). He was father-in-law to Anne Mueni Kemosi, Josephine Wayua Mong’are and Sarah Kathambi Nyatigo. Grandfather to Pauline Moraa Atunga, Claire Wanza Matoke, Lydia Mbithe Matoke, Wilfred Baraka Mong’are, Ivy Moraa Kemosi, Daisy Mukami Kemosi, Malaika Thembeka Mong’are and Joni Wambua Mong’are .

Brother to the late Moraa Mitentia, late John Joseph Achira, the late Andrew Ondari, Sibia Migosi, the late Maria Kwamboka Nyakang’o, Teresia Nyambusi Orori, Agnes Banchiri Atari, Seraphine Nyakerario Subano, Mariana Nyabeta Mose, Barnabas Onyancha, the late Elizabeth Gesare Queen, Benard Abuga, Donald Nyamaroge, Julius Nyandusi, Vincent Moenga, Carol Kwamboka and Gideon Nyatuka. Son-in-law to the late Mosongo Okioma the late Pauline Gichemba (Kebirigo). Brother-in-law to the the late Mitentia, late Salome Achira, Rael Ondari, the late Migosi, the late Zakaria Nyakango, the late Joseph Orori, the late Daniel Mose, Andrew Subano, Jenitha Onyancha, Mary Abuga, Hellen Nyandusi, the Mosongos among others.

There will be a requiem mass to celebrate his life at Ibara Catholic Parish, Kebirigo, Nyamira County on 18th November 2021.

Burial shall take place on 19th November 2021 at his home Makairo Village, Ibucha sub-location, West Mugirango, Nyamira County.
