DR. MATHEW KIPCHUMBA BETT

It is with sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Dr. Mathew Kipchumba Bett which occurred at Eldoret Hospital after a short illness. Until his untimely demise he was a lecturer at the University of Eldoret. Bett was a resident of Kabore village, Lolminingai location, Kilibwoni division of Nandi County.

He was the son of the late Karoli Keny, Alphina Bot Baraiywo and Hellena Keny. He was a cherished husband of Lucinah Bett and loving father of Titus Chumba (Bondo KMTC), Justine Kiprono (AIC Kapkoi Sisal sec. school), Rodgers Kirwa, Mrs. Faith Cheruiyot (AIC Moi Kapkuto Secondary School), Marrion Jepkirui (Chuka University) and Eugene Kipchirchir (Chewoiyet Boys). Brother to Alfonse Bett, late Carnilla Koech, late Paul Cheseret, Marishana Tallam, late Afred Bett, Late Silverus Bert, late Domtilla Chematia, late Daniel Bett, late Lawrence Bett, Francis Bett, Ernest Bett, Cecilia Borr, John Bett, Constantine Tirop, Donald Mutai, Stanley Bett, Veronica Kogo and the late Monicah Ketter. He was the son-in-law of late Zachariah Yego and Veronicah Yego of KapChopkut. Father-in-law of Milkah Chumba and Immaculate Chumba.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his Kabore residence, Eldoret’s Villagio spa & Auto Grill and University of Eldoret for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A fundraising to offset funeral expenses will be held on Sunday 20/12/2020 at his Kabore Home.

The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital morgue on Tuesday 22nd Dec 2020 at 11.00 Am and thereafter a funeral service at Kabore Catholic church and the body leaves to his residence for an overnight vigil. Burial will take place on Wednesday 23rd December 2020 at his farm, Kabore village, Lolminingai location, Kilibwoni division of Nandi County as from 10.00AM.
