DR. ROBERT KANGWANA AYISI

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Dr Robert Kangwana Ayisi, who passed away on the 5th November 2020 while undergoing treatment at the Mater Hospital, Nairobi.

Son of the late Lawrence Ayisi and the late Regina Tsisika. Son-in-law of the late Joachim Chitayi and the late Clare Ochami. Loving husband to Mrs. Gaudencia Chitayi Ayisi (Foreign Affairs), loving father to Yvonne Amboko Ayisi (Inchape Limited), Vivian Khasandi Ayis, (NCWSC), Raymond Ayisi Kangwana (Catholic University of Eastern Africa) and Clare Tsisika Ayisi (University of Cape Town). Grandfather to Tyrelle Jabali, Tymon Jasiri, Tecla Valarie and Lucas Robert Muhatia. Father-in-law to Patrick Awuor. Brother to the late Rose Mutumira, Angeline Shisundi, Dr. John Ayisi (formerly of MOE), Mary Kihada, the late Alexander Ashiono ,Jane Ayisi (Ministry of Petroleum and Mining), Mathias Ayisi, Diffina Akivaga, Felistus Ayisi, JaneMary, Mark Ayisi and Ann Ayisi.

Brother-in-law to the late Wilson Mutumira, Gaitano Shisundi, Hellen Ayisi, Joseph Kihada, Mary Concepta Ashiono, Vincent Chitayi, Lillian Chiaayi, Bibiana and Osbourne Shimoli, Juliana Chitayi among others. Cousin to Hon. Bernard Shinali (MP lkolomani) and Dr. Khaminwa among others. Uncle to Zablon, Patrick Akivaga, Violet, Dr. Titus, Nancy, Khasandi and Purity among others.

Dr. Robert Aylsi served as the County Secretary and Head of County Public Service, Chief Officer of Health Nairobi County, National Executive Secretary at Catholic Health Commission, NASCOP and Nairobi City Council. He also served as the medical superintendent in Bungoma and Kakamega then later on PMO for Western and Nairobi.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence Sunview estate house No, 121. For convenience friends are also meeting on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th November for prayers and funeral arrangements at the Holy Family Basilica-Cardinal Otunga Plaza from 5:30pm – 6:30p.m. Other funeral committees are meeting in Bungoma at the Ayisi’s residence In Marell Estate and Shikondi (Kakamega).

There will be a main fundraising drive (harambee) at United Kenya Club (UKC) on Wednesday, 11th November 2020 from S:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Generous contributions are also welcome via MPESA PayBill Number 8008985 and Account Number 01116050458400 or Mpesa no 0721314261 Jane Ayisi.

The deceased lies at Lee Funeral Home. Requiem mass and Burial will be announced later
