DR. VLADIMIR VITALIYEVICH SHCHUKIN

05/08/1955 – 09/11/2020

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Dr. Vladimir Shchukin on 9th November 2020. A loving husband and father, Vladimir is survived by his wife, Lyudmila, his children, relatives, and friends.

Dr. Shchukin and his family migrated to Kenya in 1994. He was a dedicated surgeon who built a reputable practice and helped countless people. His patients and colleagues described him as a gentleman, a soft soul, and a great mentor. Vladimir’s love of family and dedication to the medical community was exceptional.

Vladimir’s deepest joy was in the time he spent with friends and family. There will be no replacement for the pleasure of his good company, the benefit of his sage insight, and the charm of the music he regaled those fortunate enough to hear him play. With an earnest smile and a twinkle in his eyes, Dr. Vladimir Shchukin will be dearly missed, and his legacy will forever live on in our hearts.

We are thankful to those who assisted us during these trying times, and in particular Dr. Hassan, Prof Larissa Moroz (Ukr), Mrs. Yajnik Raj, Dr. Sergiy Maslovskiv, Dr. Thomas Laissus, Dr. Slavik Maslovskyi, Mercy and Dr. Richard Baran, Zryan Mutiso, Dr. Nurani, and finally the brethren of the lodge of Nairobi.
