It is with humble acceptance and Thanksgiving that we announce the passing of Edith Kaburi Kanampiu on 21st of October 2020.

Daughter of the late Moses Mwoga Njara (Cawa) and the late Jiakubai Mwoga Cawa. Mother of the late Gerald Gitari, late Charity Karimi, Bernard Njiru, Dr. Julius Kibaara Kanampiu, EBS, NDC(K) Rtd S A I G, NPS, the late Fridah Muthoni, Hellen Ithiru, Caroline Gatakaa. Step-mother of Kawira, Alex Micheni, Cancun Mwenda, Joyce Muthoni, Mary Kageni, Samuel Njagi, Fridah Gatuiri, IP John Ndiga, DCI and Charity Kangai. Mother-in-law of Lydia Njiru, Dr. Tarsilla Kibaara, KeMU, Idah Mwenda, Caroline Njagi, Philosy Micheni and Caroline Ndiga. She left thirty three Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kiangua, Chogoria and at his son’s residence in Utawala (Dr. Julius Kanampiu) for prayers from 4.00pm. Please join us in celebrating her life.

The cortege shall depart from St. Ann funeral home, Igoji on Friday, 30th October, 2020 at 8:00am. The funeral service will be held at PCEA Church, Kiandugu from 10:00arn and thereafter, burial at her home.
