ELDER WILFRED MOMANYI KIBOGO

1939 – November, 2021

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Elder Wilfred Momanyi Kibogo (Rtd. Teacher), which occurred on 3rd November 2021 after battling a long illness. He hailed from Kiabora Village, Bokeira Location, North Mugirango Constituency, Nyamira County.

He was son of the late Kibogo Ogero and the late Martha Bonareri. Loving husband to Priscilla Nyakerario. Doting father to Pamela Morendi, Jane Maroko, Dorcas Momanyi, Salome Sitienei, Joel Moturi (USA), Job Nyasimi (Nchogu, Omwanza & Nyasimi Advocates), Norah Nyaboke, James Ondieki. Father-in-law of Henry Morendi, Gibson Maroko, Thomas Sitienei, Zelda, Grace Kendeli and Kaarinah Mmasi.

Grandfather to Bryan, Ezra, Gilbert, Godwill, Pauline, Stacy, Linda, Kemboi, Sandra, Priscilla, Cynthia, Amanda, Amara, Sammy and Jabin. Great Grandfather to Favour, Rayden and Raphael. He was brother to Nyanchoka, Mabera, Buruchara, Kemuma, Nyabonyi, Ogero, Bisieri, Nyaigendia, Ndubi, Babere (all late), Obonyo and Bosibori.

Korera to the Omataras, Marokos, Mutais, Keverenges and Mmasis. He was Brother-in-law to: Nyaboga, the late Hon. Nyarangi Moturi, the late Oyugi, Esther, Mika, Anna, the late Agnes, Mary, Jimmy, Zachary Nyayiemi Moturi, Doris Moturi, Col. (Rtd) Moturi, Sophie, Nyachae, Grace, Anam, Lucy, Sarah, Pius, Margaret and Kennedy among others.

He was uncle to Nyomenda, Nyabeta, Nyangau, Buruchara, Menyenya, Nyangoto, Nyamusi, Hellen, Sese, Martha, the late Priscilla, Sabina, Richard, Peter Ogero, Salem, Omondi, Onyango, Kerebi, Mandere, the late Maganya, the late Bironga, the late Nyomenda, Kennedy, Moi, Wilson, Judy, Everlyne, Licina Nyabeta, Mose, John, Pamela, Onyonga, George, Christopher, Christine, Catherine, Agnes, Kerubo, Mary,Teresia, Monyangi, Sabina, the late Prisca, Kiriago, Danstan, Samwel, Otwori, and many others. He was a friend to many.

He will be laid to rest on Friday 19th November 2021 at his home in Kiabora Village.
