GEOFFREY SAKWA WAKOLI AKA CASTRO

3rd August, 1960 — 22nd January, 2023

It is with sadness that we announce the passing on to glory of Geoffrey Sakwa Wakoli aka Castro on 22nd January, 2023.

Mwalimu Sakwa was the son of the late Mzee Alfred Wakoli and the late Mama Dainah Wakoli of Nalondo, Bungoma County. He was the brother of late Jane Nasimiyu Kunusia; and Dr. Kevin Wakoli; Helen Wakoli, Eng. Mwiswa Wakoli of ASR – Toronto, Canada; Lenny Musundi; Eric Murunga; Kathleen Wakoli, and Lynette Wakoli of Veterinaires Sans Frontieres Germany.

The late mwalimu Sakwa Wakoli and Teresa Baru have two daughters; Dr. Sheila Nakhunja Wakoli and Barabara Njeri Wakoli. Grandfather to Dawn Natalia and Damian Mzae.

Uncle to the Kunusia’s, Janet Wakoli, Dr. Christine Wakoli, Faru, Karomba, Wamuyu, Garret, Bruno, Austin, Njeri, Ngare,Wango, Mitchel, Sylvia Kusimba, Brenda Mukite, Brian Wakoli, Diana Wakoli, Rebecca Wakoli and Samuel Wakoli, and many others.

He was son-in-law to the Baru family. In-law to the late Gerald Kunusia, Beatrice Wakoli, Edward Wekesa, Purity Murunga, and many others.

The body has been lying at the Bungoma County Hospital Mortuary. The cortege will leave the Morgue on Saturday, 4th February, 2023 at 7:00am for a stopover viewing in Sikata at 7:20am. The cortege will then leave Sikata at 8:00am for the funeral service and burial at Nalondo.
