GEORGE AYIMBO SICHENGA

24th October, 1950 – 12th January, 2023

The Family wishes to announce the death of George Ayimbo Sichenga which occurred on Thursday, 12th January 2023 after battling colon cancer.

Mzee Sichenga was son of the late Elwen Sichenga and the late Metina Sichenga.

Husband to Beatrice Aleyo, brother to the late Erastus Olano, the late Jathron Osome, the late Caleb Toka, Obedy Omwanwe, the late Catherine Captain, the late Florence Opuya, the late Melisa Olano, Mikal Aleyo, the late Selah Ambasa.

Brother-in-law to Florence Olano, Susan Toka, Jenipher Osome, Monicah Opicha, Leah Ogayi, Fridah Heboso, Sarah Atelo. Father to Enock Opati, Jack Kasiama, Gilbert Mark, Michael Sichenga and Elvis Sichenga.

Grandfather to the late Sharlot, Sammy, the late Sandra, Derryl, Kimberly, Adrian, Beckham, Whitney, Sean, Kyle, Stephanie, Carson, and Halley.

Father-in-law to Peris Wangui, Sheila Koloo, Monica Amwayi and Joy Murugi. The late Mzee was an uncle and dear friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his rural home in Epang’a Village daily from 4:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Avenue Hospital Mortuary, Kisumu on Friday, 20th January 2023 at 10:00am. The funeral service will be conducted at Epang’a Primary School from 8:00am and thereafter the burial will take place at his rural home in Epang’a Village.
