It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Mrs. Gladys Mutembei Stela, that occurred on 16th August 2021 at the Nairobi Hospital.

Daughter to the late Herman Shamia, the late Tabitha Shitwatso and Grace Waruguru. Wife to the late Gabriel Itela. Co-wife to Mama Imelda Nabwire Itela. Daughter-in-law to the late Linus Okobo, the late Rosalia Achalat, the late Gelson and Mary Busolo. Mother to Enid Nasimiyu, Maureen Nekesa, Sharon Toto, Hillary Odera, Lawrence Okobo, Anthony Okello, Steve Okobo, Louis Okodoi, late Valerian Ikamar and Mary Gorreti Ikalungure.

Mother-in-law to the late Austin Beebe, Opande Kweya, Karen Basiye, Jane Okello, Jane Okobo and Rose Okada. Sister to Edda Wendo, Festus Shanzira, the late Andrew Lwangu, Mary Khamali, the late Sammy Kubae, Simon Angote, the late Albert Omari, Rose Mutola, John Abakala, Wycliffe Sunguti, Jairus Alusiola, Alice Alusa, Isabella NjokI, Joshua Shamia, Cyrus Wivaya and Steve Shamia. Sister-in-law to the late Thomas Emase,Angela lkalungure, the late Granda Abukui, Timothy Omusie, Gertrude Ajilong, the late Gerald Otieng’i, the late Noelina Asikuku, Joyce Busolo, Hon. Saulo Busolo and David Mango, Gabriel Wendoh, Margaret Alubwa, late Mary Lwangu, Rose Kubai, Rhodah Angote, Adelaide Abakala and Everlyn Shumila.

Cousin to the Shilaho’s, Nijilimani’s, Mbaya’s and Wirunda’s. Co-Parent-In-law to the Bhebes,the Kweyas, the Basiyes the Esaukes ,the late Barasas, the Gachir,is and the Akwangas. Grandmother to Aylward Likombe, Amanda Shitwatso, Maria Nabwonya, Andrew Lwangu, Chelsea Amandla, Gloria Nzavaye, Shawn Okoth, Neema Mutembei, Nomsa Lindiwe, Samora Busolo, Liam Odera, Theo ltela,Thierry Itela,Austin Itela, among others.

A funeral service will be held at CITAM Karen on Tuesday 24th August 2021 at 11:00-am.

The burial mass will be held on Friday 27th August 2021, at 9:00 am, and burial thereafter in Segero, Kaliwa location, Teso South sub-County, Busia County.
