Harun Wakanene Wahome

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved Harun Wakanene Wahome of Kahawa Sukari – Ruiru, on 20th May 2020 after brief hospitalization at the Nairobi Hospital. Until his demise, he was Chief Financial Officer, Car & General (Kenya) PLC.

Beloved Husband of Grace Wangari Wakanene (Division of Nutrition – Ministry of Health). Father of James Wahome Wakanene of Kenindia Assurance and Ephraim Gichohi Wakanene of AMACO. Father-in-law of Deborah Naliaka Wahome of First Assurance and Grandfather of Harun Wakanene Wahome. Son of James Wahome Wanjohi and the late Elizabeth Wanjiku Wahome of Ngano, Nyahururu.

Brother of the late Wambui, Kamau, Muriithi, Mbugua,Wangari, the late Ndungu, Muturi, Wachinga, Mwangi, Wangui and Wanjiru. Son-in-law of the late Ephraim Gichohi Kimani and Miriam Mbaire Gichohi of Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri; In-law of James Githiomi and Beatrice Khaoya of Kitale. Cousin, uncle, grandfather, colleague, mentor and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home along Mbagathi Road, Nairobi on Wednesday 27th May 2020 at 9:30am and thereafter a funeral service and burial at Langata Cemetery.

Harun, you have fought a good fight and have finished the race. In God’s Hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever.
