JACOB MBAYA LKIARA

1st January, 1960 – 6th January, 2021

It is with profound sadness that the Management and Staff of Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) announce the demise of Jacob Mbaya lkiara which occurred on Wednesday, 6th January, 2021 at St Theresa Mission Hospital – Kiirua, Meru.

Until his demise, Jacob lkiara was a member of staff in the School of Computing and Informatics – Department of Computer Science.

Until his death, Jacob was the husband of Nancy Njoki and he was previously married to Esther Kuri.

He was the son of the Late Samuel lkiara and Tabitha War& He was a loving father to Roseline Ntinyari Mbaya, Winnie Nkirote Mbaya, Leakey Mutwiri Mbaya, Mack Jayden Mbaya and Anitah Favour Mbaya.

Father-in-Law to Stephen Kihoro Mwangi, Haggai Olukutukei and Clare Murwiri. He was loving grandfather to Makena Mwangi and Faraja Olukutukei.

He was brother to Stephen Murithi, Joseph Kirimi, Stanley Mbaabu, Silas Mutua, Salome Gakii, Jason Muthuri and Francis Kiragu.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 4.00 p.m. for burial preparations at his home in Kithoka, Meru.

The cortege leaves St. Theresa Mission Hospital – Kiirua, Meru, on Thursday. 14th January, 2021 at 9.00 a.m. for a funeral service at Thiiri Cultural Centre, Meru.

Thereafter, he will be laid to rest at his residence in Kithoka, Themba Village, Imenti North Sub county.
