JAMES MUHIA KAHIGA (SIR JAMES)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Mr. James Muhia Kahiga (Sir James), formerly of Customs and Excise which occurred on 22nd May 2023.

Son of the late Nahashon Muhia Wanjau and the late Ann Wairimu Maganjo (Gathendi) and Ruth Wanja Wanjau.

Son-in-law of the late Sarah Nguhi Norman (Banana Hill).

Loving husband of the late Lucy Wambui Kahiga. Father to Ann Wairimu, Joseph Muhia (USA), the late Samuel Ng’ang’a, Isaac Gitonga, and Sarah Wanjiru.

Father-in-law to Margaret Njeri Muhia (USA), Rose Mwihaki, Eileen Agwata.

Grandfather to Christine Wangechi, Ivanna Wambui, Michelle Nyambura, Lee Kahiga, Ndung’u and Tyler Kahiga. Great-grandfather to MunaWairimu.

Brother to Miriam Gichia, the late Ruth Macharia, Lydia Kahiu, Francis Maganjo, the late Dr Geoffrey Ng’ang’a,Veronica Wanjiku, Wilson Kibe,Timothy Muchiri, Margaret Waringa, James Kahiga (Pastor Neema), the late Samuel Nthiga, Miriam Waithera, Geoffrey Ng’ang’a, John Maina and Isaac Muchiri.

Daily meetings are at the family home in Magiwa Estate (Ngumo), House No. 137, from 6.00pm and Giteme Village in Gatanga, Murang’a County.

The cortege shall leave Bishop Okoye Funeral Home – Thika, on Friday 2 June, 2023 at 9.00am. The burial service will take place at his home in Giteme Village, Gatanga Sub-county in Murang’a County.
