It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of James Ngatia Maina, after a short illness bravely borne.

James Ngatia Maina was the beloved husband to the late Veronica Wangari Ngatia. Father to Jane Wambui Ngatia & William Muigai Karanja (KE), Susan Wacheke Ngatia & Peter Makhoha (USA), Mercy Ngatia & Michael Gateri (USA), Moses Maina Ngatia & Rahab Kanana (KE), Caroline Ngatia & Michael Okechukwu (GR) & Robert Rukwaro Ngatia (USA).

Grandfather to Karanja Muigai, Ngatia Muigai, Ngure Muigai, Shawn Ngatia, Ethan Luvisia, Zuri Michuki, Zane Michuki, Ngatia Maina,Wangari Maina, Amani Okechukwu, Zuri Okechukwu.

Brother to Solomon Ndungu Maina, George Mwangi Maina, John Gichuki Maina, Judy Wambui Mundia, Lydia Muthoni Maina, Elizabeth Wanjiku Gitonga, Mary Wangui Ndegwa, Nancy Gakenia, Samuel Maraga Maina.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at St Andrews Church on University way, from 5:00PM on the 23rd and 24th February.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home on Saturday February 26th at 7:00 AM, followed by funeral services and burial at Gaithuri Primary School, Nyeri Country from 11:00AM. On account of the prevailing Covid19 restrictions, the funeral will be streamed live via youtube.
