JANE ATIENO OJOWA.

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that the Kenya School of Government announces the passing of a diligent member of staff, Jane Atieno Ojowa. Ojowa succumbed on September 29, 2020 while undergoing treatment at the Coast General Provincial Hospital. Until her demise, Ojowa was attached at the Procurement Department in Mombasa Campus.

Daughter of Gilbert Ojowa and Teresiah Ojowa (Yimbo, Goma). Daughter in-law of the late Francis and Dusila Ong’iyo (Kamwala, Rachuonyo North) and wife of the late Yusto Omwono Ong’iyo. She is survived by three children; Dr. Julianne Yusto (Migori County Hospital), Brian Yusto (Kenya Ports Authority) and Isabel Yusto (Kenya School of Law). Mother in-law of Joyce Atieno (Gem), sister of Mwalimu Christian Agunda, Jwenge, Maureen and Jael, sister in-law of Dominic Asewe, Jack Owino, Dr. Charles Obunde, Michael Ong’iyo, Edward Ochola, Dalmas Bonyo, Emily Agunda, Martha, Regina, Imelda Kandere, Isdora,Veronica, Grace, Judy Asewe, the fate Peter Okeyo,Walter Ogina, Chrispine Ochola, Sarah, and Isabella. She is auntie of Ruth, Dennis, Dorothy, George Agunda, Dolrose Ogina, Everlyne Matara, C. V. Odera, Thomas Ocholla, and Godfrey Edwards. Loving grandmother of Zara and Travis Yusto.

The cortege leaves CPGH Mombasa on October 7, 2020 at 9.00am for a funeral service and burial will be on October 8, 2020, at Kamuga Village, Kamwala, Homa Bay County.
