JANET MWARI MURIUNGI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of our mum Janet Mwari Muriungi on Wednesday 9th December 2020.

Loving wife of the late Erastus Muriungi of Muchege village, upper Mikumbune, South Imenti Sub-county. Daughter of the late Laban M’muguna and the late Julia Karegi. She was the Sister of the late Harriet Rigiri, Martha Ncurubi, Nelly Gaiti, Isaac Kirimi, the late Muthamia, Nkatha and Muriungi. Loving mother of Rev. Dr Bertha Kirigo and Kaimenyi, Lilian & Bishop Kathia, Catherine Gatwiri, Joycelyne Kinanu, Sylvia Nkirote, Patrick & Grace Gatobu, Frida & Steve Katingima & Lawrence Bundi. Sister-in-law of Tirindi, the late Njeru, Majau, Gikunda, the late Kinoti, Zipporah, Riungu amongst others. Aunt, of Nkando, Karambu, Kinoti, Mwenda, Gituma, Muthaura, Nkatha, amongst others. Janet was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Meetings are taking place at Kilimani, Nairobi and at her home at Muchege village.

There will be a memorial service at the Lavington United Church on Monday 14th December 2020 from 2.00 PM.

The funeral service will be held at MCK St. Lukes Church Muchege on Thursday 17th December 2020 at 10.00 AM and thereafter the burial to be held at her home.
