It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Japuonj Silvester Gwaye Agoro that occurred on 1st June, 2021. He was the son of Agoro Ajuok and KatherinaWera of Ngere Village, Wang’aya I, Kisumu County.

He was the loving husband of Kilmentina Akumu. Beloved father of Mary Awino, the late Leonida Onyango, Magarita Apoko, the Late Cleophas Gwaye, Joseph Gwaye asst. Chief Wang’aya I , Lucas Gwaye of SGB Unit, Nairobi, and the late Remjius Gwaye. He was a sibling to the late Petro Magwar, the late Regina Abura, and the late Angelina Marere. His other siblings were the late Dominicus Gondi, Late Gabriel Ogenge, late Nicholas Masara, the late Darcy, Francisca, the late Amisi, and the late Leonida. Father-in-Law of the Late Elizabeth, Norah, Susan, Caroline, the late Bernadette and Gloria. He was also the loving grandfather of 47 grandchildren and the great-grandfather to 41 great grandchildren.

There will be a requiem mass conducted at St. Leonora Ngere Catholic Church thereafter Japuonj will be laid to rest on 12th June, 2021 at his home in Ngere Kagoro Village, Wangaya I sublocation, Muhoroni, Kisumu County.
