JOHN ARAYA LINTURIRI

1944 – 2020

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the passing on of our beloved John Araya Linturiri which occurred on 31/10/2020 at the Metropolitan Hospital Nairobi, after a short illness.

He was son to the late M’Araya M’Nkuraru and Tabitha Mutune Ciantheru (Taata). Step-son to Judith Murocia. Husband to Florence Kirito and loving father to Samuel Nyiruu and Terryanne Nkirote. Doting grandfather to Angelina Kamathi. Son-in-law to the late Ayub M’Ethang’atha and the late Jerusha Nkirote (Koki). Brother to Kaburia, Kathiong’e, the late Charity, Ngoki, Mwathira, Kiogora, Kaunjuga, Mucheke, Julius, Ng’olua, Kanono and Nthing’aa. Brother-in-law to Susan, Maria, Martha, Mary, anet, Mutwiri, Mukonene, Kambura, Mercy, Itile, Kariri, Mwiti and Kiriungi. He was a cousin, uncle and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayer and funeral arrangement at his residence in Buruburu and his home in Mutionjuri-Kianjai, Meru.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral home on Friday 13/11/2020 at 6.00am for a funeral service at Mutionjuri Methodist Church-Kianjai Meru, and thereafter, burial at his home in Meru.

John, we shall never forget your love for us your siblings and family. Your wise counsel, commitment and contribution to our education was immense. Rest in peace
