It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of John Kamau Kihara.

Son of the late Kihara Mwaniki and the late Waruguru Kihara.

Beloved husband of Mary Wairimu, cherished Father to Samuel & Florence Kihara, Peter Ndirangu & Tabitha Waitherero, Hannah Waruguru and Victor Kyalo, Margaret Wangari, Sylvia Wambui & Ken Mativo, and Francis & Christine Mwangi.

Grandfather to Marvin Wachira, Bryan Kamau, Elsa Wairimu, Matthew Ndirangu, Grace John Kamau Kihara Wanjiku, Lucy Wangare, John Kamau, Mary Wairimu (Kade), (Baba Kihara) Wairimu Muturi, Dennis Kamau, Victor Kamau, Kayla Wairimu, Aryana’ Muturi, John Kyalo, George Kamau, Maryann Kyalo, Mary Wairimu (Wairish), David, Hannah, Esther & Jeremiah Mativo, Ejaaz Njeru, Jade Wairimu, Braden Kamau & Brielle Waruguru. Great Grandfather to Fasil Mucheru and Myra Wangeci.

John was a brother to the late Kaguma, the late Kimani, the late Laban Mbogo, the late Kamau, the late Kihiko, the late Gitimu, the late Jessee Mwangi, the late Wambui Chakundu, the late Nduta Wa Charuthi, the late Wamuci Nganga, the late Elizabeth Waitherero, and the late Lillian Muthoni.

Prayer and planning meetings are being held at All Saints Cathedral -Nairobi, opposite Serena Hotel, in St.Thomas Hall on Friday, 19th January 2023 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.Additional meetings are taking place at the family home in Buru Buru as well as the family home in Gatiaini Village.

The burial will take place on 23rd January 2024.The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 7:30AM for his final resting place in Kigumo Sub-County, Kangari Location, Gatiaini Village, Murang’a County.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom that touched the lives of all who knew him. John Kamau Kihara’s commitment to his family, friends, and community was unwavering, and his absence will be deeply felt by many.

John Kamau Kihara’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and the love held for him beyond what words can describe. He is missed beyond measure. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
