JOSEPH GITURU KIGURU (JOE)
28th March, 1961 – 12th February, 2021
We are saddened to inform you of the death of Joseph Gituru Kiguru following a tragic road accident.
Son of late Cyrus Kiguru and Rachael Muthoni. Brother to James Raymond Njenga, Wambui Muturi, John Karume, the late Patrick Gachu, Francis Kimani, the late Stephen Munge and Peter Mburu.
Having been incorporated into the family of James Njenga he was the blended son of Mary Wanja and blended brother to Anthony Kiguru, Susan Muthoni, Cecilia Wangui, Peter Kariuki and Gabriel Mwangi. A loved son-in-law to Naftali and Beth Wachira. Husband to Isabella Wangari. Father to Andrew and Winnie Kiguru, Susan Muthoni and Beth Wanjiru. A doting grandfather to Joe Gituru and Raymond Wachira.
Condolence meetings are taking place daily at his residence Managu Court, off Lenana Road, Hurlingham at 5:00pm.
There will be a Memorial Service at Holy Family Basilica on Thursday 18th February, 2021 at 2:30pm. The Funeral Service will be on Friday 19th February 2021 at Shamanei Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Karuga Center near Laikipia University at 10:00am Followed by Internment at the family cemetery nearby.

Joe Kiguru. Past… yes. I found out late. Alas Joe 🙁 I do cherish my time with ‘kiguru’ -as I called him. Kenyatta University. This is where our paths crossed. A character of whom each activity had a purpose and was innately planned. Wow! I am saddened wishing that I would have met him again to reminisce about our times together. I See you have four. I am Martin Miyawa. I recall visiting his home. His neighborhood and partaking in his amicable subtle comedic side. Kiguru Alas I do miss you. Rest in peace with God. 11/26/2022. Martin Miyawa.
