JOSEPH MAINA RWIGI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing-on of our beloved, Mwalimu Joseph Maina Rwigi, Head Teacher Ngunyumu primary School which occurred on Friday 30th November 2020. He hailed from Kiambuthia Village, Kairo Location, Mathioya Sub County, Murang’a County.

Joseph was the loving husband to Joyce Njoki Maina, and the second born son of the Late Mark Rwigi and Sarah Warima. He was son in law to the late Moses Mahugu and Miriam Nyambura. Joseph was beloved dad to Sarah Warima, Mark Rwigi, Miriam Nyambura, the late Moses Mahugu and Stephen Kibe. He was brother to Dr Kibe Rwigi (UoN), Peter Itathu, Fraciah Nyambura and Margaret Muthoni; Brother in law to Wachira, Ben Kaburi, Ezra Wagura, Mary Wangechi, Agnes Wangui, the late Joseph Mwangi, Mary Watiri, and Simon Waithaka. He was a loving uncle to Mark Rwigi Kibe, Sarah Warima Kibe, Jackline Warima Itathu, Michelle Warima Itathu, Mark Rwigi Itathu, Mark Rwigi Wachira, Lydia Wanjiru Wachira, Sarah Warima Wachira, Jackline Wagikondi Kaburi, Christine Warima Kaburi and Evelyn Gathoni Kaburi.

Condolence books for family, relatives and friends have been opened at Munyaka Hotel River Road and at the family rural home in Kiambuthia Village.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday, 6th November 2020 at 6:30 am followed by a funeral service at ACK St. Marks Church grounds in Kiambuthia at 10.00 am. Interment will be at the Family Farm in Kiambuthia village.
