It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Joseph Mwangi Gikonyo which occurred on 3rd September 2021.

Son of the late John Gikonyo Waititu and Late Magdalene Wanjiku. Husband of Margaret Wangui. Father of Stephen Gikonyo, Peter Kiragu, Grace Wanjiku, David Waititu, Eunice Wambui, Beatrice Waithira, Lucy Muthoni, Mary Njoki, Felista Nduta and Elizabeth Nyamiru.

Grandfather of Millicent, Vivian, Emily, Victor, Brian Kiragu, Cedrick, Anthony, Margaret Wambui, Precious, Mercy, Joseph, Jimmy, Favour Lukas, Grace, Wilson, Oliver, Jeff, Brian Karugu, Joe, Joy, Boniface, Wanjohi, Denis, Amos, Charity, Blessings, Bridgette, Ryan and Rita. Father-in-Law of Susana Gikonyo, Leah Nyambura, Clemente Mawondo, James Kahiu, Grace Wachuka, Rahab Wairimu, James Karugu, Martin Ndirangu, Japhlet Chege & Joseph Kihara.

Brother of Muthoni Kamau, Joseph Waititu, Njeri Karumba and the Late Wambui Gichuri, Waithira Maina. Step-brother of the Late Wambui, Nyacharu, Gaita, Gachie, Macharia,Wachira and Phelomena.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangement at his home in Miiri-ini Village, Gikigie Sub-location, Chinga NW Location, Othaya, Nyeri County.

The cortege will leave Kiria-ini Funeral Home on Friday 10th September 2021 at 9.00am. Funeral service and burial will be held same day at 11.00am in his home at Miiri-ini Village, Gikigie Sub-location, Chinga NW Location, Othaya, Nyeri County in compliance with MoH COVID- 19 protocols.
