JOSEPH PHILIP NYAGAH-KATHENDU

1941 — 1st September 2021

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of Gods’ will that we announce the passing on to glory of Mr Joseph Philip Nyagah on Wednesday, 1st September 2021.

Son of the Late Chief Kathendu wa Njue and the Late Warue Mwagetanguthi of Embu County.

He is survived by his beloved wife Cecilia Mary Murangi Nyagah and his adoring children: Charles and Roselyne Nyagah, Peter and Stella Ereri, Susan and James Kariuki, Lucy and Capt. Ken Gachanja and Catherine Nyagah. Grandfather to Arthur, Hazel, Tendaii, Xidi, G.I, Serena, Mutwiri, Neena, Kenai, David, Tehilla and baby Tandiwe.

Cherished brother to the Late Mwaura, Late Monica Mbeere, Ciumwari of Chaka Nyeri, and the Late Njiru wa Kathendu of Kibugu. He was a devoted brother-in-law to the Late John; Nyamu, Felister, the Late Salome, Late Ephantus; Mary Theresa, Muchangi, Wambeti, Munene, Mbogo, Muthoni, the Late Cyrus and the Late George amongst others.

He was also an in-law to Mr. & Mrs.Wycliffe Mutsune, Mr. & Mrs. Gilbert Riungu, Mrs. Regina Mwangi and the Late Danson Mwangi and Mrs. Leah Githuku and the Late Isaac Githuku.

Mr. J.P.Nyagah was a much-loved uncle to his many nephews and nieces and a friend to many. He had many brothers, sisters, sons-In-laws and daughters-in-law.

The Nairobi Requiem Mass will be held at Consolata Shrine, Westlands, on Wednesday 8th September 2021 at 2pm and his final internment will be on Thursday, 9th September 2021 at 12 noon in Nembure, Embu County.

Embu Funeral Mass will be held at Mr. J.P. Nyagah’s homestead in Nembure, Embu County on Tuesday 7th September at 3pm.
