It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Josphat Waithaka Maina on Tuesday, 20th July 2021 after a short illness.

Son of the late James Maina Gakuru and the late Jennifer Wambura Maina. Son-in-law to the late Peter Karanja Kinyore. Husband to Grace Wamuhu Waithaka. Father to Rosemary Muthoni Waithaka of Safaricom, Josephine Wambura Waithaka of Kakuzi Plc and Winfred Kagure Waithaka of Kenya School of Law. Father-in-law to William Njau of Bills and Mills Ltd, Daniel Kyalo of Equival Enterprises and Ted Murungu of Kenya School of Law.

Brother to the late Damaris Wairimu Karugu, the late Edward Kariuki Maina, Rosemary Kagure and Mercy Muthoni. Brother-in-law to James Kariuki, Stephen Michire and Charles Mwangi. Grandfather to Jaamin Branson Mwafuga, Jacinta Wanjiru Njau and Santana Mueni Kyalo. Uncle to Winfred Wakarindi, George Karugu, James Maina, Jennifer Wambura, Caroline Wangari, Joan Nyambura and Jennifer Wambura.

Friends and relatives are meeting at Thika Makongeni Kamenu Estate house no 786 for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home tomorrow Tuesday, 27th July 2021 at 8.00am followed by a funeral service and interment at his home Makuyu Marura village, Murang’a County starting at 11:00 am.
