JOY SYDNEY KATHAMBI MFTHIKA

We regret to announce the untimely death of JOY SYDNEY KATHAMBI MITHIKA of Technical University Kenya (School of Architecture and Spatial Planning).

Beloved daughter of Mr. Philip Mithika lthai (Principal Anjalu Secondary School) and Mrs. Sarah Nkatha Mithika (Deputy Head Teacher, Miori Primary School. She was sister to Alvin Rodney Mwenda (Mang’u High School), Andy Bradney Murithi and Angel Chesne Mukami (Both of St. Paul’s Primary School – Maua).

Sydney was a beloved grand daughter of the late Andrea M’Ithai and Jennifer Kaloki M’Ithai and Mr Jeremiah Ikamati and Jane Mukoitha Ikamati. She was niece to Mati, Mutia, Ntongai, the late Stephen, Kinyua (Kenya Police – Makupa), Dr. Salesius Muriungi (Nyambene Nursing Home), Ntonjira, Dr. Peter Mbwiiri Ikamati (Pharmacy and Poisons Board – NBI), Patrick Ikamati (Kenya Police – Sultan Hamud), Karim Ikamati (Teacher Mbayo Primary), Kailikia Ikamati (C.O. Meru County), Alice Ikamati (Kenjam Media) and Edwin Ikamati (M-Kopa), among many.

She was cousin to Mercy Mutia K.N.H, Andrew, Nkirote, Wayne Brenden, Esmee, Karen, Merleen and Mellisa, among many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Tea Room Cafe, Maua (6.00pm – 8.00pm), Sagret Hotel – Millimani Nairobi (5:30pm), and at Mutuati Market (Next to Solutions Bank, at 4.00pm).

There will be a requiem mass at The Holy Family Minor Basilica, Nairobi, on Friday 5th November, 2021, starting at 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves Monalisa Montezuma Funeral Home Mbagathi Way on Saturday 6th November, 2021, for funeral service at Antubochiu Primary School grounds at 11.00am and thereafter burial at her parents’ home at Antubochiu village, Maua, Meru County.
