It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mania Joyce Awino Ahere (Mama Frank), on Sunday, 28/11/2021.

Wife of the late Mzee Naboth Adega Ahere. Mother of Frank Ahere, Grace Achoki, Lucy Ahere, the late Tim Ahere, Ken Ahere and Doreen Wainaina. Daughter of the late Hezekiali and the late Alucia Opiyo of Busia. Daughter-in-law of the late Josiah and the late Grace Ongeche Ahere of Alego Kaluo – Manyala Village. Sister of Henry, the late Hezron, the late Joseph, James, the late Ambrose, Charles, the late Willis, the late Yonah, Hilda, the late Pamela and Boaz.

Sister-in-law of the late Nereah Odera, the late Ernest Ahere, the late Hesborn Ahere, Christine Bondo, the late Rose Orondo, the late Rebecca Onyango, Joy Oyuyo, the late Jim Ahere, the late Doris, Jobiese, the late Selina Angelina, Dorca, Margaret, Jane and the late Rebecca.

Mother-in-law of Beatrice Othieno Ahere, Annah Wanjiru Chege, Barnabas Achoki, Emma Dorling, and Daniel Kinyanjui. Aunty of Dan Ahere, Oscar Ahere, Opondo Odera, Lucy Bondo, Lilian Orondo, Tina Onyango, Julie Odadi, Susan Okoko, Don Odhambo, the Ombams, Onyango, Orondos, Oyuyos, Oburas, Oderas and Bondos, among others.

Grandmother of Natasha, Davina, Kimberly, Tim,Tevo, Martin, Nezer, Uzziel, Shekinah, Shau Malaika, Baraka, and Jabril. Great-grandmother of Leonel and Lamirah.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday 08/12/2021, at 2.00pm, at St. Stephen’s Cathedral – Jogoo Road and the burial will be on Saturday 11/12/2021, at her home in Alego Kaluo, Manyala Village Siaya County.

Friends are meeting at her residence in Kimathi Estate, House No. H40.
