It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of Mrs. Joyce Mumbi Gathura, director of Pamu Holdings Limited, which occurred on 6th July 2021 at M. P. Shah Hospital.

The beloved daughter of the late Simon Kaniu and the late Phyllis Nyakio. Step-daughter of the late Mary Wairimu. The beloved daughter-in-law of the late Jesse Gathura Gitiba, the late Josephine Mukami Nyamaiga and late Grace Woki. Loving wife of Paul Charles Gathura, Chairman & Director of Pamu Holdings Limited.

Dotting mother of Patrick and Mukami Mbogo, Peter and Nyakio Tole (Australia), Joan Gathura, Richard and Wanja Tanui (Australia), Andrew and Margaret Gathura, Timothy and Juliet Kaniu. Sister of Jonah Kariuki Kaniu (Naivasha), the late Steven Kiome, Peter Mwaura (Githunguri), Jane Wanja (Nakuru), Charles Kingara (Naivasha), Jacqueline Mweru (USA), Peninah Wairimu (Naivasha), and Hannah Wangui (USA). Half-sister of Cyrus Kariuki, Josephat Mwaura, Mumbi Kibiro and others.

Sister-in-law of Francis Muiruri, Hannah Mwihaki, Esther Waniiku, Rahab Wanjiru, Christopher Gitiba (Tanzania), Stephen Gathura, the late Rebecca Gathoni, Rahab Nieri, James Kamau, Hamson Mitambo, Jackson Gachoka. Auntie to many and grandmother to 13 grandchildren.

Family and Friends are meeting as from Friday 9th to Tuesday 13th July, 2021, at Dik-Dik Gardens, House No. 41, Kileleshwa as from 4.00pm.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 15th July, 2021, at 0830 hours for burial service at PCEA Gatina Church from 11:00am and later to burial site at Gitiha Farm Githunguri, Kiambu.
