LYDIAH WANJIKU CHEGE

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing away of Mrs. Lydiah Wanjiku Chege, fondly known as “Cucu Big”. She passed away at home in Lang’ata – Nairobi on 16th December, 2022 after a sudden illness.

Lydiah was the wife of Obadiah John Njehia Chege. Beloved mother of Wambui Chege, Mary Waithiegeni, John Muturi, (Bahati nee Chonjo) and Francis Mwangi. Loving grandmother to Wanjiku Smangaliso, Khanyisile Zalira and Neema Gabriella.

Daughter of the late Francis Mwangi Gathondu and Mary Waithiegeni Mwangi of Gakindu in Mukurweini, Nyeri. Sister to the late Grace Muthoni Mwaniki, Muraguri Mwangi, the late Isaac Maina, the late Gladys Wanjiru, Joseph Kamenju, Beth Wangui, the late Charity Waruguru and Edward Gichinga. She was a dear aunt and fond friend to many.

Family and friends are gathering for prayers at St. Andrews PCEA Church, off Nyerere Road, 5:30pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd December, 2022.
