It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mama Abigael Omolo Abuya that occurred on 18th January, 2023.

Daughter of Kornelio Ayieko Ng’iela and Elsa Ogwecho of Sare, Kamagambo (both deceased). Step-daughter to Wilkister Anyango, Esther Achieng and Anna Akumu.

Wife to Elisha Abuya Okumu (Tax Consultant). Co-wife to Rose Abuya (deceased).

Sister to Musa, Benjamin, Jacob, Charles, Samson, Simeon, Prisca, Rael, Tabitha, Miriam, Joshua, Samuel, Kennedy, Edward and Eric (all deceased), and Kitura.

Mother to Peter Abuya (Postal Corporation), Joyce Abuya (Principal, Sigoti Complex), Dr. Pamela Abuya (Moi U – ACIP Program & Franken Associates), Dr. Willice Abuya (Moi University), Tom Abuya (Dimension Data) and Prof. Edwin Abuya (University of Nairobi).

Mother-in-law to Francis Achieng’ (University of Kabianga), Sheila Owino (USA) and Julia Otieno (Mercy Corps).

Grandmother to Sharon (Business lady H/Bay), Ashley (Moi Girls Maralal), Michelle (Salute i World), Abby (USA), Georgina (UK), Clifford (UK), Powell (Postal Corp.), Cheryl (Italy), Ian (Postal Corp.), Bradley (USIU), Adrian (St. Elizabeth Academy), Brandon,(Zetech U.), Grace (Kenya High), Amani (S.C.S. Swaminarayan Academy) and Furaha (Makini School).

Great grandmother to Liam Manwari (Sir), Alicia, Jayden & Jazmine.

Nyawana to the Pire family of Wagwe John Achieng’s of Dut Kanyamwa, Otieno’s of Uyundo, Ugenya. Nyabana to the Lovences of St. Lucia & UK. Sister-in-law, Auntie, Cousin and friend to many.

Funeral arrangements are being held in Homa-Bay, Nairobi and Eldoret.

The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Funeral Home on 1st February, 2023, followed by a requiem service at Nyalkinyi SDA Church. The interment will take place on 2’nd February, 2023 at her home in Nyalkinyi, Homa-Bay County.
