It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the death of Mama Elizabeth Akinyi Gombe of Nyarago Village, South East Kanyamkago on 29/10/2020. Daughter of the late Dishon Mikore and late Zipporah Waluang’a of Rusinga Island.

Wife of the late Ezekiel Odie Gombe. Co-wife of late Magdalina Adoyo, the late Margaret Akoth and the late Mary Ogola. She was sister of Anna Ooko of Kakrao and Sister-in-law of late Pamela Okaya of Uyoma. Mother of Esther Odhiambo of Rusinga Island, the late James Wasonga, the late Rhoda Otieno, Samuel Odhiambo, Grace Misumi and the late Juliet Diego. Step-mother of Florence Atieno, Tom Gombe, Joshua Gombe and others. Mother-in-Law of Jack Odhiambo, the late Martin Otieno, Gerson Misumi, Dick Diego and Elizabeth Awuor Odhiambo.

Grandmother of Elizabeth (USA), Vincent (USA), the late Patrick, Teddy, Bonita (Germany), the late Bob, the late Loise, Dorothy (Germany), Clement (UK), Francis, Henry, Zipporah, James, Arnold, Linette, Lilian, Cynthia (USA), Mark, Andrew (UK), Ndede (USA), the late Brian, Don (Dubai), Jackie (Ireland) and Elizabeth Diego. Great Grandmother of Matthew, Sungu, Chantal and others. She was great, great Grandmother of Kimberly and Loise.

The Cortege leaves St Joseph Mission Hospital on Thursday, 12th November, 2020 at 12.00 Noon itecfor her home at Nyarago Village for burial on Friday, 13th November, 2020 at 10.00 am in Migori County.
