It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and deep sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Felgona Mildred Acholo Opondo, wife of the late Bathlomew Ayub Opondo Taya of Simenya sub-location, Siaya county, that occurred on Sunday 25/10/2020 in Minnesota, USA.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Japuonj Jonathan Rajwayi Akinyi and the late Julia Rajwayi of Kisumu Karateng’, Ong’iyo village. Mother to Ken Malo (MN-USA), Florence Chivumbe, Robinah Atieno and Eng. John Opondo (Tabuley). Grandmother to De’chandra Malo (MN-USA), Jonathan Malo (MN-USA), Esther Malo (MN-USA), Isabelle Malo (MN-USA), Myra Munyazi, Harrison Mwachivumbe, Nicole Medza, Stephanie Felly, Tamara Sylvia, Winnie Grace, Joe Mbeki, Noah Taya and Emmanuel Wendo. Sister to Samuel Baker, Willis, Jacob, Jane, Frederick, Joshua, Phoebe, the late Akinyi, Jerry and Julius (Nera).

Mother-in-law to Marcelline Malo, Timothy Chivumbe, Waseth Obura and Natukunda Shirah. Sister-in-law to the late Hosea Odak, Boaz Ayub, Miriam Mabunde, Elseba Omondi, Mary Awino and Ethel Osome. Aunt to Joyce, Oliver, Shadrack, Bell, Nickson, Roselyn, Eunice, Tony, Judith, Eunice, Caroline among others. Maternal aunt to Omino, Arnold, Steve, among others.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday 27/11/2020 for a funeral service at ACK St. Andrew Simenya Parish. The burial will be held on Saturday 28/11/2020 at the family home in Simenya, Ugenya.
