MAMA JERUSHA KAJUKI MWIKI

Birth 1940 – Went Home: 21st January, 2024

It is with deep sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of a Woman of God; Mama Jerusha Mwiki, that occurred on Sunday 21st January, 2024 while undergoing treatment.

Beloved wife to the late Henry Mwiki. Loving mother of the late Mwalimu Karimi Mwiki, Jane Mwiki-Nairobi, Elly Mwiki-PrintWell Industries, Patrick Mwiki, Joshua Mwiki-Nairobi, Kagwiria Mwiki – Ministry of Interior & Co-ordination of Government & Mukiri Mwiki – Meru County Assembly.

She was mother-in-law to Jamaica Elly, Glory Patrick, Gakii Joshua, the late Jeremiah Mutuma, Betsy Kendi and Kimathi Adriano. She was a doting grandmother to Ken, Carol, Judy, Sharon, Shanice, Charlotte, Alvin, Stafford, Tiffany, Kyla, Jonnel, Mureti, Brandon, Shantel, Sanchez, Atarah, Kimberly, Monnel, Admiral & Ellis. Great grandmother of Belvin, Ariana & Bradley.

She was sister to the late Kangai, the late M’imunya, Kinaili, Mbaa, Kaliuntu, Kainga, Naathu, Mwothabau, Kanyee, the late Atundu and the late Kainda. She was a beloved Auntie to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 6.00pm at: Sunstar Hotel – Thika Road; Elly’s home at Kabete; Rongai Town; and at Mwiki’s rural home at Gitwamwari Village for prayers & funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Maua Methodist Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday-30th January, 2024 at 9.30 am for a funeral service at Thamare MCK, Burieruri, Maua, Meru County starting at 11.00 am followed by interment at her home at Gitwamwari Village.
