It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce. the promotion to glory of Mama Mary Cherotich Kitur which occurred on 30th August, 2020 at Kericho County Referral Hospital.

Daughter of the late Chief Jerengeti Cheruiyot & Rebecca Tabutany of Kiptere Kericho District. Wife of the late Snr Chief Stephen Maritim Kitur and Mother of Eddah Byegon, Priscilla Mongare, Late Naomi Cherono, Paul, Zachary and Geoffrey Maritim. Mother-in-law of Jonathan, Hillary, Jane, Judith, Josephine, Getrude and Joyce; Sister of Late Sigilai Langat & Taprire Obot Musa, Selina Maitugut (Obot Somoei), Leah Sang (Obot Ogui), Joseph Langat and Esther Jerengeti. The Late was also a step-mother of Elizabeth Rono, Late Isaiah Maritim, Grace Birgen, Late Esther Murey, Rachel Kerich, Late Joseph & William Maritim and Agnes Ruto. Cousin of Paul Ruto (Nandi County) among others. Aunt of Hon. Justice Kemey among Others.

The cortege leaves Siloam Funeral Home on Friday 4th September, 2020 for a requiem Mass at Chepkemel PAG Church starting 8:00 Am. Thereafter, cortege will be taken to her home in Musaria for overnight stay. Burial will be on Saturday 5th September, 2020.
