It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved mother and matriarch, Maria Oduwo Ongode of Lunyu Village Nyadorera Siaya County on 12th February, 2022.

She was the daughter of Ojow K’ondewe (deceased) and dana Agak (deceased). Beloved wife to Alex Ongode Jaganyi (deceased). Co-Wife to Angelina (deceased), Philista (deceased) and Jane (deceased). Sister to Philista Omieno (deceased), Magret Gombe (deceased), Cosmas Ogutu (deceased), Jennifer Ojow (deceased). Sister-in-law to Hamtal (deceased), Otang’o (deceased) Agnetta, and many others.

Loving mother to Tarro, Andrew (deceased), Raymond (deceased), Peter (deceased), Veronica, Prof. Jaganyi, Rose, Nora, Victoria, Stella, Cyprian (deceased), Odenga (deceased), Anne (deceased), Victor, Sunday (deceased), Anyango, Seline, Maureen, Patrick, Wilfred and others.

Auntie to Barth, Kizito,Agolla and Gare, among others. Mother-in-law to Dorothy, Furrie, Esther (deceased), Mary, Christine (deceased), Brig (Rtd) Kuto (deceased), Fred, Joanne, Peter, Maurice, Quinta, Eunice, Caleb, Komakech and Mercy. Grandmother and Great-grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Morgue on Thursday 24th February, 2022 at 8.00am for transportation to her final resting place at her home in Nyadorera.

Burial will be on Friday 25th February, 2022.
