Son to the late mzee Chrysanthus Ondati and mama Paustina Moraa. Husband to Grace Kemunto. Father to Vera Kemunto, Chris Ondati, the late Omosa, Esther, Naftal, Catherine (Kisii County Government), Faridah (St.Theresas Omonono Sec.) and Cynthia. Grandfather to Silvia, Christine, Jeremy, Melisa, Terry, Damian and others. Brother to late Joseph, Teresa, the late Jane, Charles, the late Mary, Machira, Gladys, Veronicah, the late Bichage, the late Orangi, Ochoki, Anyango, Nyaruri, Bonareri among others.

Son in-law to the late Jackson Atika, the late Pauline Nyangiau, the late Rael Mochari, the late Loice Mochari. Cousin to Arigas, Nyamwanges, Onyangos, Ondiekis, Osoros, Nyabonyis, Nyagitaris, Mosirias, Michiekas, Nyabogas, Nyabenas, Monayos, Kasimiris. The body leaves Hema mortuary on Friday 4th September, 2020 for burial at Keumbu, Geterere Village same day.
