MATRIACH ESTHER WANJIRU BERNARD

With deep sorrow and profound sense of loss, we announce the passing on of Matriach Esther Wanjiru Bernard, peacefully in her sleep on the dawn of Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Loving wife of Bernard Muiruri Njiraini of Kagurumo village, Muthithi Location, Kigumo Sub-County, Murang’a County.

Daughter of the late Samuel Mungai Karanja and the late Jemimah Wambui Mungai of Gathuri village, Sabasaba.

Mother of Margaret Wanjiku, Mercy Wambui Kariuki, the late Mary Muthoni Kagwi, Jane N.Bernard, David Njuguna, Samuel Mungai, John Njoroge and the late

Virginiah Nyambura.

She was the mother in-law of Very Rev. Samuel K. Kahuro (Em), Venenzio Kagwi, Catherine Njuguna, Regina Mungai and Innocentia Njoroge.

She was a grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Step-sister of Esther Nyakinyua Kanyoro, Mary Wairimu Kariuki, Josephat Kamande, Esther Njoki, and the late Migwi Mungai.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 5:30 p.m. at her home in Kagurumo village and also at the ACK All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Montezuma & Monalisa Funeral Home, Kabati, Thika on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. for a funeral service and interment the same day at

her home in Kagurumo village, Murang’a County starting 10:00 a.m.
