MICHAEL THIONG’O GATETE

We regret to announce the death of Michael Thiong’o Gatete, formerly a businessman in Kisii (Blue Inn Hotel, Pilot Hotel & Kagongo Traders) which occurred on 10th December 2020. He hails from Gacharage-ini Village of Mathioya Sub County, Murang’a County.

Husband of Mary Wambui Thiong’o. Father of Peter Gatete, James Kariuki, Jane Wangui, John Muhoro, Benedict Thuku, the late Lucy Muthoni, and Ann Mboo. In law of Kingori’s, Kimani’s, Makunu’s, Muigai’s, and Muthanga’s. Grand father and uncle of many.

Burial preparation meetings are being held daily at his rural home in Gacharage-ini and Tea Room hotel in Kisii from 6:00 pm.

The cortege leaves Kiriani-ini Mission Funeral Home on Thursday 17th December 2020 at 9:00 am for   requiem mass at Muthangari Catholic Church grounds and there after burial at his farm in Muthangari Village opposite the church.
