It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Monica Nyambura Nderitu, that occurred on Friday, 8th October, 2021 at Mt. Kenya Hospital – Nyeri.

Daughter of the late Eliphet Gatimu & the late Phylis Ndundu Gatimu. Daughter-in-law to the late Samuel Kimathi Mwaniki & the late Wakonyo Kimathi. Wife of the late Godfrey Nderitu Kimathi. Mother of Boniface Kimathi (Kim Nderitu) & Millicent Wanjiru, Albert Gatimu & Evelyn Chepketer, Zaweria Wakonyo & Phoise Wakibia, Priscilla Nyakarura & Esbon Kiongo, the late Peter Muriithi & Ann Mwihaki, Hezron Mwangi, Daniel Wamuya & Theresa Waigwe, Charles Kamunya & Rose Kemunto and Esther Wanjiru.

Sister of the late Hezron Nderitu, the late Samuel Kamunya, the late Ruth Wambui, the late Hannah Wanjiru, Mr. Elijah Ng’ang’a Gatimu, Elikanah Mukundi Gatimu and Col. (Rtd) Joseph Mwaura Gatimu. Sister-in-law to Esther Murugi, Joyce Njeri, the late Simon Muriithi,Anthony Wamuya,Agatha Waihuini & Angelo Ndirangu. A grandmother, great-grandmother and an aunt to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her Thandii home Tetu Sub-county – Nyeri starting at 4.00 pm. Thika community and friends shall have a one off support meeting at Shuhan Hotel – tomorrow Thursday, 14th October, 2021, starting at 4.00pm.

The cortege will leave Nyeri Funeral Home Outspan Hospital on Saturday 16th October, 2021, at 8.00am, followed by a funeral service at Kiandu Catholic Church, Ithenguri Parish, starting at 10.00am, thereafter burial at her Thandii Home. All Covid-19 Protocols to be observed.
