MR. HARRIS KIBATHI THUO (DO) (DADDY COOL)

4th April, 1940 — 28th January, 2022

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will,We to announce the sudden passing on to glory of our Loving Dad Mr. Harris Kibathi Thuo — known to many as Daddy Cool or (D.O) – on Friday 28Th January 2022 while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta Hospital Prime Care. Formerly, a career civil servant and an astute farmer.

He was the loving husband to the late MaryAnne Kibathi and the late Mwanaisha Kibathi. Son of the late Churchil Thuo Gitangu and the late Esther Wanjiru Thuo (Wagishinga). He was a loving father to Chris Kibathi, Leonard Kibathi, Purity Kibathi, Imma Kibathi, Gertrude Kibathi, Sophie Kibathi, Zaituni Kibathi, Salima Kibathi, Salama Kibathi and Allan Kibathi.

He was a Brother to Margaret Waruiru Thuo, the late George Thuo, the late Peter Gitangu Thuo and Lucy Mwangi Wathayu. Father In-law to Helen, Lucy, Wairimu, Vincent, Alex and Murithi. He was a Brother In-law to Jane, Waitueka, the late Waithera, the late Chege, Njeri, Beth, Kariuki, Salima,Amina, the late Abdillahi, and the late Kassim.

He was cherished by his grandchildren Kibathi, Muthoni, Laourine, Joy,Alvin, Liam, Maria, Zubeda,Aisha, Hani,Aliyah,Aadil. He was a Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin to many and had a fraternity of Friends from far and wide.

Relatives and Friends are meeting in Thika and Nairobi. Thika meetings are at Chania Tourist Lodge and White House Hotel Gatunyaga until on Thursday 3rd February 2022 starting at 6pm. Nairobi meetings will take place at Sagret Hotel on Thursday 3rd February 2022 starting at 6pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati-Delmonte at 9am on Friday 4th February 2022 for funeral service and burial on the same day at his farm in Makuyu — Kenya Njeru Farm.
