MZEE LABAN OBONYO OMOLLO

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mzee Laban Obonyo Omollo on 10/10/2021, after a short illness bravely borne.

Son of the late Patroba Omollo and the lateJulia Akumu of Nyafare, Kogudi Village, North Kamagak, Kasipul Constituency, Homa Bay County. Loving husband of Susan Achola Obonyo„ Caroline Obonyo, the late Helida Obonyo and the late Margaret Obonyo. Father to Jamila Chanzu, George Obonyo (UK), the late Pamela Auma, Wycliffe (Odhis), Beatrice, Fred, the late Brian, Hesborn, Dennis, Melvin, Serfine, Juliet, and Helida. Father-in-law to Hon. Yusuf Chanzu of Vihiga Constituency, the late Willis Miyayi, Susan Obonyo, among others.

Son-in-law to the late Nelson Aoko and Wilkister Aoko,Wenslaus Abok and Susan Ajwang Ojako and Okumu. Brother-in-law to James (UK), George, Fred (UK), Edward, Godfrey, the late Wycliffe Ochieng’, Maurice, Siffan Anyumba, Michael, John Lawrence and the late Tobias Agola, the late Julia, the late Jane and the late Margaret, the late Florence and the late Serphine, among many others.

Brother to the-late Jafeth Othoo Omollo, Zacharia Otieno, the late Reuben Onyango, the late Benjamin Osoo, the late Ogalo, Penina Adoyo, the late Rodah Akoth and the late Silpa Atieno Ombija. Cousin to Jacob, William, Solomon, Elisha, Rev. John Kadhania, Willis, Moses, John Obonyo, Loise, Olisa, Monica, among others.

Uncle to George Othoo, Maurice, Lilly, Dennis (UK), among others. He was a blessed grandfather to Abdalla, Issa, Nadia, Zahra, Kelvin, Oscar, Hellen, Billy, Junne, Yvette, Clint among many others and 13 great-grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Matata Funeral Home, Oyugis, at 7.00am on Tuesday 19/10/2021 followed by a burial service at his home in Nyafare, Kogudi Village starting at 9.00am.
