It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mzee Nicholas Obaga Maiko, on the 6th of June, 2021.

Son of the late Crisantos Maiko and the late Agnes Boiyani. Step-son of Helena Maiko. Aloving and devoted husband of Winfred Bosibori Obaga. Father of Agnes Boiyani, Samson Maiko, Shammer Matundura and adopted father and mentor to many.

Brother of the late Robina Maiko, the late Matundura Maiko, the late Lucia Maiko, Bochere Maiko and Makarios Maiko, Philip, Arori among others. Brother-in-law of Nyaburi Matundura, Kerongo, Kerongosi, Calister Nyaboke, Osero Nyangwara, the late Stanley Mosumari, the lateViolet Mongina, Maureen Abincha,Thomas and Nancy Abincha, among others.

Son-in-law of the late Ann Kemunto and the late Samson Abincha. Cousin and friend to many including Dr. Charles Onchoke (USA), Eng. Richard Juma (Multiscope Consulting Engineers Limited), Vincent Oruta (Nokia), Richard Omache Nyakoi (NTV), Dr. George M. Okeyo (UoN),Wilson Ondimu (NRB), Joseph (USA), Moses (USA),Alex (USA), Ochieng (USA) and Makarios (USA), among others.

Uncle of Gladys, Cleophas, Nyanchama, Kevin, Christopher, Samson, Kemuma,Yvette, Egbert, Rebecca, David and many others.

Friends and family will be meeting on Sunday I 3th of June, 2021 in Nyayo Estate Embakasi at Nera Grounds for fundraising, prayers and funeral arrangements.

A memorial service will be held at Mariakani Christian Centre, on Wednesday 16th of June, 2021, from 12.00pm 2.00prn.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa (Mbagathi) on 17th June, 2021. The burial ceremony will be in Suneka, Kisii County at the family home on the 18th of June, 2021.
