MZEE SYDORNIUSE ONYANGO OMOLLO

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved father Mzee Sydorniuse Onyango Omollo, which occurred on 10th August, 2021. He was, until his sudden and untimely death, the Rarieda constituency Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Chairman.

Mzee Onyango was born on 1st January, 1947. Son of Mzee Zakayo Omollo and Mama Teresa Ochieng’ Omollo of Kagwa -West Uyoma in Rarieda Constituency. Step-son to Mama Norah Awiti Omollo. Loving husband to Mama Merine Atieno Onyango and Mama Dorothy Atieno Onyango.

Father of Francisca Majuma Onyango of Siaya Law Courts,Alloys Marcel Onyango – Civil Servant and Businessman, Merceline Anyango Arunga – National Police Service, the late Akinyi Onyango, Lucia Adhiambo Onyango, Wycliffe Omondi Onyango – Teacher, Rose Apondi Onyango – Teacher, Stephen Otieno Onyango – National Police Service, Ignatius Otieno Onyango, Peter Oduor Onyango -Journalist, Florence Akinyi Onyango – Pharmacist Njoro Sub-county, Alice Odawa Onyango -Teacher and Trizzer Anyango Onyango – Clinical Officer Siaya County.

Brother to the late Joyce Adongo, Leonida Achieng’, Polycurp Omollo, Cosmas Omollo, Elizabeth Auma, the late Wasonga Omollo, George Omollo, Odhiambo Omollo, Lucas Omollo, Agnes Akoth and Fredrick Omollo. A loving uncle to many, and a wonderful grandfather to Brandon, Djibril, Millicent, Dinah, Moses, Miles, Rita, Ramsay, Peter, Joan and Madison Sydorniuse. Mzee was a father-in-law to Mr. Emmanuel Arunga, Mr. Peter Oyler, Mr. Richard Oloo and the late Mr. Austin Ondu. His daughters-in-law are Prisca Atieno Akech and Linda Noreh.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kawuondi, West Uyoma, for prayers.

The funeral procession will depart from St. Elizabeth Lwak Mortuary on Saturday 21st August, 2021, morning followed by a burial service at his home.
