NICHOLAS KABANDO MWANGI

It is with humble and grateful acceptance of God’s loving and perfect will that we announce that our beloved Nicholas Kabando Mwangi rested on 28th October, 2020 after a short illness. He was Formerly of Dyer & Blair Investment Bank, immediate former director Standard Investment Bank and Chairman Gemini Shelters Ltd.

Son of the late Mwangi Kabando and the late Rose Waceera. He will be forever cherished and missed by his dear wife Gakenia Kabando and their beautiful children Waceera Kabando, Wairimu Kabando and Wendy Kabando. A dear brother of Hon. Kabando wa Kabando, Jane Wangui, Elizabeth Muthoni, Gladwell Wangeci and Thiari Mwangi. Son-in-law of the late Teresia Wairimu and the late John Kahindi of Mang’u Gatundu. Brothers-in-law of George, Lydia and the Kahindi’s of Mang’u. Beloved uncle of Waceera, Wang’ang’a, Naima and the many offsprings of the Kahindi family. Nephew of the late Thiari, P.J Kamau and Gladwell Ndung’u.

Preparation meetings and prayers will be held on Thursday 29th October, Friday 30th October and Monday 2nd November, 2020 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Ridgeways at 4.00pm.

A Requiem Mass will be hosted at the same venue on Monday 2nd November, 2020 at 10.00am. A Celebration Church service will also be hosted at Kabando’s family home in Ngamwa, Mukurweini at 2.00pm on Sunday 1st November.

The funeral cortege leaves The Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi, on Tuesday 3rd November at 7.00am for funeral service and burial at Karicheni, off Nyeri-Narumoru Highway, Kieni East Sub-county, Nyeri County.
