NYANYA FLORENCE IRENE MUHACHE MUMBA

Born:August 1920 – Died: 30th June 2021

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Florence Irene Muhache Mumba. The death occurred on Wednesday 30th June 2021 at Hon. John Safari Mumba’s residence, Mtwapa.

Daughter of the late Mzee Julius Bakari Nzivo and late Mama Mary Kwekwe Chambega. Beloved wife of the late Mzee Japhet Bemukoka Mumba. Loving mother to Canon Albert Chaurembo Mumba, the late Alfred Mwagandi Mumba, the late Mrs. Alice Kasichana Kadzenga, Hon. John Safari Mumba, Julius Nzivo Mumba, the late George Malingi Mumba, Mrs. Mary Ndzikwa Mwamburi, the late Maurice Kambishera Mumba, the late Lawrence Semani Mumba and Edmund Riziki Mumba.

Mother-in-law to Patience Chizi, the late Pauline Chihunga, the late Joshua Kadzenga, Feddis Kadii, Doris Furaha, Esther Kanze, Moses Mwamburi, Ruth Dzame, Joy Agesa and Josephine Kabibi. Sister to the late Beatrice Mjeni Hanjari, the late John Mwachiro, the late George Disii, the late Sidi Nzivo and the late Paul Goho. Mama Irene was a doting grandmother to 54 grandchildren and was blessed with 95 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was also a guardian and mentor to many who lived with her throughout her productive life.

Meetings and funeral arrangements are being held every day at 4pm at Hon. John Safari Mumba’s residence in Mtwapa.

The cortege leaves Milele Funeral Home on 7th July 2021 at 5am for a service and burial at japhet Mumba’s homestead, Ng’ombeni, Kilifi County on the same day.
