PATRICIA RUGURU KATHAMBANA

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the family of Patricia Ruguru Kathambana, announce her untimely demise on Sunday 12th September 2021.

Patricia was the adored daughter of the late Jonathan Njagi Karanja and Gladys Gicuki of Kathigari, Kevote, Embu county. Step-daughter of Eunice Wanjiku and the late Jacinta Ikamba.

Beloved wife of Ambassador Dickson Ireri Kathambana. Cherished mother of Francis and Eva Kathambana, Pauline Kathambana, Paul and Rahab Kathambana, Richard and Susan Kathambana, Patrick and Fiona Kathambana. Doting grandmother of Raphael, Maya, Abigail, Gabriel, Michael, Uriel, Marcus, Max and Arthur.

She was a loving sister to Patrick Kariuki & Alexandra, Lucy Wanjuki & Peterson Nyaga, and Esther Kasina & Rev. Kasina. Step-sister to Mary Mutito, Felister Muthoni, Jane Njoki, Njiru, Wambui, Anna, Carol, Muriithi, Dorothy, Nyaga, Njeru, Esther Njoki, Weruma, Cyrus, and Wanjiru. Daughter-in-law of the late Arthur Gicindano and the late Eunice Ciamburi. Sister-in-law to the late Sarah Thaara, the late Mary Gacuki and Timothy Njiru, the late Lillian Gitiri and Florence and Moses Muihia. Respected cousin, aunty and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily between 5pm – 8pm at The Allamano Centre Sunday School Hall within the Consolata Shrine in Westlands from 13th to 17th September 2021.

There will be a requiem mass on Friday 17th September 2021, 10am at The Consolata Shrine in Westlands.

The cortege will leave The Kenyatta Teaching, Research & Referral Hospital (KUTRRH) Mortuary on Tuesday 21st September 2021 at 7am for a funeral service from 11am at St Joseph Mukasa Mbiruri Catholic followed by a private burial at her home in Ngimari, Runyenjes, Embu County.
