PATRICK KANAI MWANGI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Patrick Kanai Mwangi (ACP – Retired) of Mbaruk, Nakuru, which occurred on Sunday, 27th February, 2022.

Son of the late Charles Mwangi Karanja and the late Grace Mbuiyu Mwangi, also step-son to Grace Kabui Mwangi.

Patrick was a cherished husband to Florence Nyambura Kanai.

Loving father to Mary Gorret Mbuiyu Kanai, Dr. Charles and Peris Mwangi Kanai, the late Anthony Thuo Kanai, Ida Ann Rema Maina and Knut Anders, John and Hellen Karanja Kanai.

Grandfather to Anthony Kanai, Michael Mwangi, Anthony Thuku Mwangi, Florence Olive Nyambura and Thomas Deschner, Benson Githinji Maina and Nora Brustard, Patrick Kanai Maina, Charles Kanai Karanja, Keneddy Kimani Karanja and Ryan Mwangi Karanja.

Great grandfather to Kristian Filip Deschner, Gabriel Brustad Maina and Eliana Rema Brustad Maina.

Brother to the late Eliud Karanja Mwangi, the late Salome Wanjiku Mang’ara, Benaddet Wambui Njoroge, Margaret Guthera, Presbyter Dr Gabriel Kamau (Chrisco Church Nyahururu), Florence Njeri Gitau, Bishop Dr. Phyllis Nduta Sulemai (Winning Team International Ministries), Pastor Joseph Kinyanjui (Chrisco Church Banita) and Pastor Elizabeth Wanjiku.

Step-brother to Veronica Wanjiku lchigo, Elizabeth Wariara Gakere, Teresiah Nduta Mwangi, Elder Patrick Karanja (P.C.E.A Githunguchu-Ndeiya), Flora Wangui, Ann Njeri, Williain Kahare, Felister Mumbi Kimunya and Ruth Njeri Gathanwa.

Son-in-law to the late Phillip Thuo Kariru and Ida Rema Thuo of Ndeiya Limuru. Brother in law to, Josiah and Margaret Muriithi, James and Mary Nganga,and Agnes Thuo. Beloved uncle, cousin, grandfather and great-grandfather to many others.

Family, friends and well-wishers are meeting daily in the afternoons at his residence in Mbaruk for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nakuru – on Thursday, 10th March, 2022 at 8:30am for a funeral service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – ltherero, Mbaruk.

He will thereafter be laid to rest at his farm in Mbaruk next to Laikipia University Nakuru Campus.
