PETER NELSON MAKOTSI OPENDA (PETE)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Peter Nelson Makotsi Openda on the morning of 6th June 2020 because of respiratory complications.

Son of the late David Weche Openda & Margaret Openda (former Makini School) and husband of Nelly and Millicent. Father of Ian David Openda, Pius Gumo Openda, Patrick Buliba Openda, Margaret Patra Openda and Portia Phyllis Openda and grandfather of Siarali. Brother of Roger Openda, Joyce ILako, the late Patrick Buliba Openda, Noel Openda, and Sarah Luta Were. Brother-in-law of Jackie Openda, Agnes Openda, Philip ILako and Mr.Were. Grandson of the late Rev Barnabas Weche and the late Esther Kulundu.

Uncle of David Buliba Openda, David Livingstone Openda, Valarie Achieng and Siobhan ILako. Nephew of the late, William Nandwa Weche, Mary Makuku, Salome Wanyangu, the late Tabitha Tongoi, Elizabeth Odongo, the late Margeret Omuronis Wanyonyi, the late Martin Amimo, Ruth Ekere, George Weche, Sarah Sikolra, Stephen Ambetsa, the late Beth Wanyama, Henry Sheunda, Peter Weche, the late Peris Awori, late Joshua Awori, late Rhoda Ouya, late WWW Awori, Dr Moody Awori (former VP Kenya), late Hannington Awori, Winifred Odera, the late Prof Nelson Awori, Aggrey Awori, late Ernest Awori, Grace Wakhungu, Dr. Mary Okelo (former Makini School), Henry Awori, Christine Hayanga, and Willis Awori. The cortege leaves the Coptic Hospital-Maseno on Thursday 11th June 2020 to his parents home in Buyonga village in Namasoli, Mundeku Sub location Kisa Central Kwhisero Sub County.

Burial will be on Friday 12th June 2020
