PROFESSOR STEPHEN OSEKO MIGIRO

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Prof. Stephen Oseko Migiro (University of Kwazulu-Natal, SA) which occurred on Friday, 12th February 2021 at St Luke’s Orthopaedic & Trauma Hospital, Eldoret.

Son of the late Reuben Migiro Akuma and the late Martha Moraa Migiro. Beloved husband of Dr.Agnes Bonareri Oseko (University of Eldoret). Loving father of Brian Migiro Oseko (University of Leicester), Collins Powell Oseko (USIU-A) and Anita Bosibori Oseko (USIU-A). Brother of the late Samwel Akuma, Charles Ombui, Grace Kemunto Kebeno, Rachel Barongo Osano,Agnes Kerebi Matoke, Zablon Ogonyo, Teresa Nyanduko Migiro and Moses Migiro. Brother-in-law of Leonidah Akuma, Caren Akuma, Hebisiba Ombui, Richard Kebeno, Osano Nyang’ara, Elijah Matoke, Margaret Ogonyo and Liner Moses. Cousin of Ogetes, Onwong’as, Magwari’s and Magoso’s Nephew of the late D.0 Davison Ong’era, Josiah Makori Saisi, Monyenye Saisi and others and as well an uncle of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residential home in Eldoret (Upper Elgonview) and at his rural home in Nyamira County, Gesima Ward, Nyaboraire village.

The cortege will leave Elgonview Hospital & Funeral Home, Eldoret on Wednesday, 17th February, 2021, for his rural home in Nyamira Counry. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, 18th February, 2021, from 10.00am followed by the burial ceremony at his rural home.
