RAPHAEL CHEGE KARIUKI – WA MBITI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Raphael Chege Kariuki – Wa Mbiti, (former Chief Technical Engineer – Kenya Posts and Telecommunications – Nairobi) of Mukurwe village Mang Location, Gatundu North Sub-county, Kiambu, which occurred on 09/11/2021, at Kenyatta National Hospital -Private Wing, after a short illness.

Loving husband to Jane Muthoni. Son of the late Nahashon Kariuki and Beatrice Wamuhu. Loving Dad to Francisca Wamuhu (Nanyuki), Scola Njoki (Chaka), Caroline Wanjiku (USA), Benard Kariuki (Nairobi), Fidelis Kagaya (USA), Pascalina wanjiru (Nyeri), Lilian Gathoni, Elizabeth Wambui, Julius Kinuthia and the late Mary Wangari.

Brother to the late Njeri, the late Rosemary Wanjiku, the late Stephen Ndeere and Monica Njoki (Parliament of Kenya). Step-brother to Margaret Njeri Kinuthia, David Kiiru, Joseph Chege and many others. Brother-in-law to Rev Boniface Mburu kinuthia (COR Kamwangi), among others. Father-in-law to Pastor Titus Kagiri, among others, grandfather to Bernardate Muthoni, Winnie Wangechi, Karen Wakonyo, Kariuki g Stella Muthoni, among others and a great-grandfather to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Mukurwe village: from 4.00pm – 6:30pm, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home -Thika Road ranch on Friday 19/11/2021, at 9.00am. Burial ceremony will take place at Mukurwe Secondary School rounds and final interment at his home in Mukurwe, Mang’u, Gatundu North, Kiambu.
