REBECCA EMALI ESHIWANI

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing on of Rebecca Emali Eshiwani, formerly of Jomo Kenyatta University, at Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu on Monday, November 8th, 2021, after a short illness.

Wife to the late Prof. George Eshiwani and a loving and devoted mother to Tom Waswa Eshiwani, Barry Weche Eshiwani, Sarah Namatsi Eshiwani, Sammy Aloyo Eshiwani, and Lorna Nyakowa Eshiwani. Mother-in-law to Jacinta Eshiwani and in-law to the Solomon Wachira family.

Sister to the late Lorna Nyakowa, Rosa Bulali, Hosea Ambuchi, Lena Matete, and Elizabeth Omina. Beloved grandmother to Cara Shelton, Samuel Eshiwani, Elaine Eshiwani, Enakai Eshiwani and Zai Emeka.

The daughter of the late Mzee Fanuel Ambuchi and the late Ludia Omukweyi and daughter-in-law to the late Samuel Aloyo and the late Dorica Omurasi.

Friends and family are meeting at her home in Mulwanda Village, Kakamega County, for funeral arrangements.

There will be a fundraising to assist the family offset funeral and burial expenses on Wednesday, 17th November, 2021, at United Kenya Club, Nairobi, from 6.00pm.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Hospital – Kisumu on Friday, 19th November, 2021, at 10:00am, for the funeral service and final burial rites to be performed at her home in Mulwanda on Saturday. 20th November, 2021, at 9.00am.
