REV. PATRICK MARANGU RUKENYA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Rev. Patrick Marangu Rukenya, former chaplain of Presbyterian University of East Africa, which occurred on Monday, 7th June 2021 at 9pm.

Son of Mr and Mrs. Peter Rukenya. Loving husband of Lilian Kanini Marangu. Caring father of John Murithi, Miriam Karimi, James Mugambi and Timothy Mawira. Brother to Gideon Nkonge, James Mbae, Rev Njeru Rukenya, Kathenya, Miriti, Gitonga, Janice Gakuuri, Dina Muthoni among others. Father-in-law to Gitari Tana and Mary Mugambi. Grandfather to Kayla Tana, Junior Tana, Michelle Tana, Melanie Kanini and Kyle Patrick. Brother-in-law to Beatrice Kiria, Rev. Eliseuse lguna, Julie Mutegi, Mbaka, K’amweru, Njeru and Micheni among others. He was a cousin and uncle to many. .

Family and friends are meeting daily at St. Andrew’s PCEA Church from 5:00pm.

There will be a memorial service at St Andrew’s PCEA Church on 13th June 2021 at 3:00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University teaching and referral hospital on Tuesday 15th June 2021 at 7:00am for funeral service at Chuka PCEA Town church from 10:00am and burial at his home in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi county.
